Outside of the world of destination weddings, Mario M. Lopez resides in South Florida, where he has lived for the past decade with his loving husband and their dog, Max. He cherishes the sunny beaches of Florida, enjoying the beauty of the sand and surf. When not savoring his local surroundings, he feeds his wanderlust by traveling the world, exploring new cultures, and creating lasting memories. Mario's personal journey reflects his commitment to love, adventure, and the pursuit of happiness, values that beautifully align with the magic he brings to the world of destination weddings and travel.

Together, Mario and Ashley are also the hosts of Flights, a podcast for travel advisors who want to break into the destination wedding travel space.

 Ashley Morris is the owner of award-winning Alpaca Your Bags Travel and is currently based in Kansas City, MO. She says “currently” because having some wanderlust means “home” is sometimes a moving target!

Ashley came to the travel industry after spending 15 years in media and advertising, working with clients like Target, Kohl’s, Verizon and Spotify. She started Alpaca after a less-than-ideal experience planning her own destination wedding. After being frustrated with the planning process (and needing to find a job that would let her work remotely!) Ashley went to travel agent school (it exists!) and started her agency in 2015. She built Alpaca into a million-dollar agency in under two years, all while still working at her advertising job AND commuting from KC to NYC twice a month. This is a woman who knows something about time management and working smarter, not harder!

After having her own destination wedding, she wanted to bring that joy and fun to others. So many couples are inspired by the fun and magic of a destination wedding, but they have no clue where to start.  That’s where DWU experts come in! Ashley’s goal has always been to bring more systems and tech to what can be a dated and manual industry. Ashley is a graduate of Will’s first ever Destination Wedding University class, way back in 2018. Today, Alpaca Your Bags Travel has grown to a team of 3 full-time employees and 2 independent contractors. 

Ashley and Matt are fur parents to 2 dogs (chihuahua Ellie and beagle Jack) and 2 cats (Mork & Mindy). They are avid explorers and try to explore the world as much as possible, whether it’s an African safari or towing their Airstream camper. 

4 random facts about Ashley

• When people hear about all the places I’ve lived, they assume it’s due to Matt’s USAF career. In fact, I’ve lived in five states as an adult and Matt has spent his entire career in just two locations (ha!)
• I’m one of six girls, so organizing chaos is something I was born into
• The beach is also my happy place
• I’m equally at home drinking champagne in a $60,000 luxury cruise suite as I am sitting by a campfire in a national park. For me, it’s about the experience. However, I’ll probably also bring the champagne to the campfire!
