Join me in this conversation with Ash Tembe, Vice President of Fields Sales in North America for AIC Hotel Group as they discuss the impact of Coronavirus in the travel business, the future and potential of destination weddings and why their agent-focused strategy remains unchanged. In Ash's words: "We are on this together and we need the travel agents to make it". It's all about the people and the partnerships.

Our final day together brought more beauty, as we toured the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun with the most stunning blue water in the hotel zone.
The HRHC and Group Gama delighted us at every turn with options to offer our future couples.
Make your own Mimosa bar, anyone?
Also, we toured the contemporary, clean, understated luxury of Unico 2087 Resort in Riviera Maya and got to experience a variety of wedding ceremony setups.

At last, after three very full days, it was time to wrap up and (literally!) sail off into the sunset.
We finished our weekend together by taking in one last picture-perfect evening on the water.
The air was soft, the ocean pristine, and the sunset seemed a perfect way to bring this incredible experience to a close.
It’s tough to convey everything we did — there was both so much fun and so much learning packed into three...
Day 2 was ALL about Taking Care of Business — we spent the morning diving deep into the questions, practicalities, and challenges of being an entrepreneur.
Representatives from Hard Rock’s Wedding department shared their expertise with agents on things like social media marketing, planning, organization, communication, and collaboration with resorts. It really was invaluable to have these industry insiders right there, available for guidance and encouragement. They also received an entertaining but invaluable video marketing training from Noe Garcia, a Video Content Master.
Agents got a chance to say what was really on their minds as they are taking the leap and making a HUGE commitment to their futures. It’s thrilling — and it can be straight-up terrifying, too. So we did something that you probably won’t see at any other convention: we named our fears out loud and dealt with them. See those little scraps of paper on the floor? That’s all...
From the moment they arrived at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya, I wanted my agents to feel as amazing as their clients will feel. I wanted them to feel the luxury, the pampering, the awe, that sense of wonder and adventure and possibility.
This is part of what is so FUN about planning destination weddings! As an agent, you’re making that kind of happiness possible for your clients in every detail — from transportation to the resort to the welcome party to the food to the music.
Even though the ceremony is the main event, it’s so much more than just the ceremony. You’re creating an entire experience that will translate into a lifetime of beautiful memories for the bride and groom and for everyone there.
We started things off right with an amazing happy hour, complete with delicious food and incredible views. This was a chance for people to finally meet in person, to put faces to names, and to make more meaningful connections.
Look at this food!
Part of what sets...
If you know me, you know: I’m not shy — but I don’t really like to talk myself up that much.
It feels kinda like bad karma because the reality is that most of everything we do is with the help of at least one other person and usually lots of other people along the way. But something also happened recently that I just feel SO PROUD about, and I’m bursting to share the great news and gorgeous pics.
A huge part of my exhilaration is that I have been working for so long to make this happen. It was the culmination of months of planning, years of work, and a vision to really transform how destination-wedding travel experts can have professional, fulfilling, and thriving businesses.
I launched Destination Wedding University this past year. The reason I started this 15-week intensive online program was that when I looked around, I saw a need to give agents who are passionate about destination weddings a place to get thorough, organized, in-depth, inside-track...
I am back with another #TBTSeries and this one was Super FUN and does not need much of an introduction. Why? Well, It's a Youtube video that our friends at HAR (Host Agency Review) recorded while we recorded the podcast episode of Travel Agent Chatter.
Steph is like my spirit animal and I had a blast. We talked about Destination Weddings (of course!), Social Media Marketing and Systems!

As a Frequent Flyer, I know you will understand my excitement. See, as Travel Agents we love recommending Club MoBay to our clients (traveling to Jamaica). We firmly believe it enhances the travel experience, at the end, who the heck loves waiting on tiny airport chairs and paying overpriced fast food meals and cervezas, right? (especially after leaving an All-Inclusive resort!).
Well, I am here to share my excitement with you! So here is the deal, Cancun already had a couple of VIP Business Lounges but none in terminal 4 which is where I am flying out of today, on Southwest Airlines. Well, the wait is over.
I decided to walk around as I wait for my time to board which is two hours away, with the rest of the "mortals" (It's a Joke) when I suddenly read my favorite words at the airport (After "On Time" flights that is)... VIP/BUSINESS LOUNGE!
I followed every little sign and rushed to my version of Heaven at any airport: Free Wifi, Comfortable...
